Well - that's two I killed!!

Now with their Legal Dept.....
Re: Well - that's two I killed!!
OK - it's made it's way there through WBAC so basically BCA are washing their hands (even though WBAC is a subsidiary of BCA).
I pressed the reputation point, and the fact that they were now aware that the car is subject to a National Crime Reference though they didn't really want to hear!! I don't think they will do anything.
In any case, our friendly East Europeans will have taken the cash from WBAC who quoted me £4750 last week, and would probably have knocked this back to around £4500 on the forecourt - so a net profit to them of £1200 for four weeks hassle and the costs of coming out here etc - so my satisfaction is that we made it not a great deal for them, which hopefully will put them off chasing any more RS6's.
Now it's over to anyone looking for a low cost C5 - and remember everything you spend over £4.5K on it is profit for WBAC!
It's not worth me bidding - to recover the £3.3K I lost I'd need to clear at least £8K on resale and I think, from the experience last time, I'd struggle at the current mileage.
Sad, but predictable end to this saga - though if the car ends up with someone on here, the start of an exciting new chapter for the car!!

Who knows how many miles it's got on the clock now...
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper

It's not been clocked, I checked - I've got a BCA account too.

Re: Well - that's two I killed!!
It's what's been done to it in the interim that would be a concern for any buyer.
Re: Well - that's two I killed!!
I am shocked that BCA would continue to sell a car with this history... Makes you wonder what else they are selling. Kind of good to hear that they didn't make much profit off the car. To accept £4500 for it they must have completely run out of options and patience selling it. The power of internet communities is immense. Hopefully it might make scams like this less and less worth their time.
And yes the mileage when I looked on BCA was over 200k so I doubt it has been clocked.....

You don't think there's a bucket load of dodgy cars that go through auctions?

Re: Well - that's two I killed!!
It had gone from the website by about 2.00pm - afraid Idon't know how to see any sold vehicles or their prices.
One guy pm'd me last night about the car so I guess he bid - I have pm'd to see if he got it but haven't heard back yet.
Hope it went to a good home!
