Must be a dyno print out, be great to see that torque curve.

Here we go.....

Will be very interested in thoughts and opinions and even explanations of the graph. Receptionist didn't seem to be of much help and everyone else was pretty busy so didn't get much info about it.

I don't think an extra 50 horses is to much to ask for ?
And you got 59!! However it looks like the combination of an older engine, and high air temps means that the baseline you were starting from was only 419 rather than the "stock" 450. (No idea what fuel you had in there, but that makes quite a difference too)

If your engine had been stock you'd be looking at 509, and presumably would be smiling! :o

Or looked at another way MRC basically quote a 10% increase for the Stage 1 tune, and you got 14%! What's to moan about?

And on the suspension work:
In hindsight though.... None of that work was specialist which I could have gotten done for less than half of what I paid,
Seriously?? Take a look at the parts cost and take that out of the bill as it will be the same (or more) wherever you go, unless you plan on using cheap parts. And you reckon you could have got all the labour at a rate which would have halved the total bill?? Not unless you have some friends doing the work just for beer money!

Welcome to C5 world - two standard RS6 Units and you've got a strong beast with the suspension sorted and ready to go - hit the road and enjoy it!!

New graph looks helluva lot smoother. Consistent 60-80 PS more bhp from 3k rpm and only reason why top end doesn’t seem as impressive is because of the 2 spikes on the before plot. Those could be down to TC lockup or boost control but MRC seem to have mapped out that problem.

They did mention something about lowering the boost in places to try and ease the issue with the TC not locking.

I guess considering the power it "Did" make, it's not bad per say. I was just hoping to reach over 500, but maybe down the line when I have the TC sorted and a Milltek and gutted pre cats I will take it back for a "Tweak"

As for parts.... They only came to 480, the rest of the bill was labour and the map. Some things were excessive such as £165 for wheel alignement. Also noticed I was charged for an Inspection and also a health check. Pretty sure at least one of these come free with a map ?

That looks like a very nice curve. The spike in the before curve gives a very false impression of power. You have a very big spike in a very small range. Take the spike out of the equation and that portion of the curve averages out to about 400bhp. So think of it as having an equivalent of a 400bhp car and now you have a very solid 475ish. So I would call that an equivalent to 75bhp increase for how it will feel. Once the gearbox is sorted you will find it to be a completely different animal to drive. With lower air temps you will be knocking on the door of 500 for sure. With a tweak on a cooler day with the box behaving it will be well over.

Not horrific. I got quoted £130 the other day by a company near me and they said that won't include things like freeing up stuck nuts etc. Certainly can be found cheaper than that though.

They are the best, and the best is never the cheapest.

front wheel alignment involves moving the subframe to set camber IIRC and that does not sound a cheap or simple process. My local kwikfit charge £120 to do the alignment, would you stretch to another £45 and have MRC do it? Actually the guy at my local kwikfit is VERY good at alignment so I'd probably use them :) but your local may not be so hot!

I last paid £60 at AmD Tuning for a four laser and camber setup using their touring car gauges and equipment. Can’t get much better than that.

Was a fair few years ago mind and on a Clio not an RS6

That's about the price I remember it being. Hence being a little shocked to see that on the bill.

Had two alignments done here in Australia on the RS6. Both came in around $200au. The second alignment was due to the fitting of adjustable upper control arms. I think the price is more than fair. Good wheel alignment will save you money on tyres in the long run.

Went to the Westgate shopping centre today in Oxford and on the way there I appeared to lose all power from the car. After playing around on the M40 it appeared that when accelerating you could here a huge sucking/whooshing sound, the car would then judder and jerk all over the place and go nowhere :-(

So I thought, I am not far from MRC, so on the way back home I popped in.

Now it's all booked in next week for what is hopefully just a blown pipe or something. Sadly they didn't have time to have a quick check for me.

Anyway, whilst it's in I will also be getting a health check and a rattle sorted from the front right and I am also thinking a stage 1 Map to give me a bit more peace of mind with the box.

How did you like our shitty, cold as fk in the winter design fault, rip off, nothing actually there, shopping centre??
