Hi all

i just got a C5 RS6 recently and the front windscreen glass has one crack which is more than 20 cm in length.
i am just wondering the C5 RS6 windscreen glass is as same as C5 A6 and also allroad?

i am appreciate for any input here~~~

Mine has an integrated sun visor across the top other than that seems a standard C5 windscreen

i cross check the part number for this...it seems the part number not the same one....
but my friend told me that i can verify the glass in person...if the shape as same as RS, it should be able to fit directly...

Don't forget the cambelted 4.2 engine means a longer engine bay, different bonnet headlights bumper etc, and the windscreen is a different shape too

The windscreen is specific to the RS6, I had a new one a couple of years ago and it took Autoglass 3 attempts to get the right one. They ended up getting a genuine one from Audi.

Well.....it seems not as easy replacement as what i expected...
anyway,the autoglass Shop already prepare the C5 A6 glass for me, and i will try to have a visit either this week or next week.
no matter it will work for us or not, i will update in here~

Hi All

The windscreen glass been replaced. and they use the C5 A6 Avant glass (mine model style is AVANT)
so it can directly fit with no problem..

however, based on the autoglass Shop siad..

Sedan
C5 A6/RS6 glass-->Same

AVANT
C5 A6/Allraod/RS6-->Same

Also worth considering what windscreen is required as some RS6's have some sort of UV coating.

To some it's not important but I find the coated windscreen in conjunction with the solar sunroof keeps the interior cool after standing in the sun for a long time.

to be honesty, it is not easy to find RS6 standard windscreen in my area,
but regarding to the UV protection things....i tint the windscreen what i do the replacement too..
not sure if it could help some or not..

So just to double check all the windscreens are the same but just specific to saloon or avant? Then you just have to ensure you have the correct shade? I got a hairline crack on the way to AITP last year plus there is already a repair on the screen so no doubt it's only a matter of time til I need a whole new replacement.

Saloon and avant glass is different, (why I know? Cus they order saloon glass first and tried to fit on my avant and they finaly realize it won't fit..)
So they order C5 A6 avant glass and it works...
