Couple of questions, parking sensors and tyre pressure monitors

Post by benh999 » Sat Feb 03, 2018 9:05 pm

Hi folks.

I have an error on my parking sensors , we’ve ran VCDS and it says there’s a buzzer fault? No sensors showing fault codes. Where is the buzzer?

Secondly my tyre pressure monitor system is faulty. Looking at the alloys I’ve only got 1 monitor as the other three valves look like normal rubber ones where as the other one has a more substantial metal body. I’ve ordered 3 new sensors However although the display shows the system as not working there are no fault codes?

Will fitting new monitors alone cure the issue or is there possibly more to it? Worst case can the system be turned off with VCDS?

Cheers

Ben

When you activate the parking sensors listen too if the error tone is the high pitched front buzzer or the low pitched rear one . Which ever one You hear, it's the other one that's knackered .
The front one is in the clocks I think . The rear one is mounted under the boot trim on the left hand side really close too the back seat . They are still available from audi , if you need the part number I'm sure I'll still have it somewhere. I replaced mine earlier this year

All I can hear is the low tone buzzer(assuming the high tone is a lot higher) I’ve not heard it tbh....

The low tone for the rear is located in the rear so follow your ear and listen too where the sound is coming from . Did it not say which buzzer was at fault when you read the codes ?
