Parking sensors

Post by JonRS246plus » Tue Jan 30, 2018 10:15 am

I have 3 parking sensors that have packed up (rear left, rear mid right and front right).

Would like to source them and paint them myself as it seems I can probably save myself a fair amount doing so....would then get a garage to fit them.

Are these correct?

Any others out there people recommend off ebay?

And the paint...

Anyone else done this?

From what I’ve read the location of the sensor depends on which one you need as the plugs are at different angles to clear bumper etc.

I need a new front and rear but wanted them ready before removing bumpers. Can’t seem to get a positive answer on which sensor goes where as of yet

Just be careful about the amount of paint you put on them as it can effect way the sensors work and can cause them too go off there t*ts for no reason

Need to replace a couple of sensors.

Has anyone painted them themselves and used the brand in the amazon link above that could recommend it?

I painted them myself with the Audi paint and lacquer - several coats. No issues.

Think it was these:
