What, no xenons?
Strange thing is, that it does have the Bi-Xenons. You can hear the shutter open and close when flashing the high beams.

I will have to see if I can find out the location of the unit as I know there's a few possible items related to that error code. I think this module is located (I believe) on the right frame rail behind the radiator from what I have read.

On LHD cars it's on the left chassis member. Don't know if they moved it for RHD cars. They do for some stuff, but not everything. I would gamble on it being on the left, but I have nothing concrete to base this on.

You should check the fuses and wiring first. And make sure the fan spins by hand.

OK cool, I'll take a look tomorrow (Public Holiday in South Africa) and see if I can locate it. I will also chat to my Mum who is coming to visit us beginning of May. I might need to try purchase that controller from Ebay as a spare.

Yeah, I'll double check fuses but I didn't see any blown when I first got the RS. I also checked the fans and they seem to be free.

The fuses are hidden behind the dash (not the ones you access from the side of the dash). They are a PITA to check. You need to remove some trim to get to them.

Oh.... I know about the relays back there. I've stripped some of the lower pieces of trim in the interior, I will try take a look there then too. I also need some lessons on how to use Elsawin properly.

Elsawin: It's like a well stocked library... with no lights, no windows and no filing system.

Left, in direction of travels, obvs.

There was some discussion on this on here, but quite a while ago.
Hey Shoppinit, going back to this comment, were you refering to this thread?

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=101770

A mate sent me a link to a brand new A4's RNS-E front facia - looks identical I think, so that might be a possibility.

Although, I'm feeling that I might be better off just buying a later model RNS-E and adapting the facia (I'm sure the PCB below is identical, well I hope)...

I don't think the A4 fascia will fit. It's closer than the A3, but IIRC it needs to be a A6 fascia for a perfect fit to the dash. I could be wrong.

That link looks familiar. I think after that thread I decided I would stick to the RNS-D. I only use it as an amplifier anyway and for that it's fine.

I'll have to see if I can get the seller to take some measurements for me. Worst case, it looks from the photos like I would be able to literally replace just the front fascia plastic from the metal backend (where the PCB is mounted to).

Only reason I am considering a "new" RNS-E is I'm not even sure if the rest of mine still works as it should. Plus the 4GB limitation of the mem. cards is a little saddening. I'll do the maths and have some chats and see what I can find out.

I'm an OEM/OEM+ type of guy.

A4 fascia Definitely doesn't fit - it's a bit narrower and a bit higher than the A6 one

Ah, thanks for the clarification on that. So, now I need to figure out what to do. See if I can find a damaged RNS-E from an A6 where I can pull the PCB I need from, or, get a nice "new" working RNS-E (193G for eg) and transfer just the plastic fascia across to make it work in my RS.
