DS2500 pads are £250 but Ferodo state they are track day pads, pity because they get a good review score.

Audi looking for £365 +Vat +fitting kit at £27.50 each side.
I used to use DS2500 on my stage 4 Mk2 FRS & had no issues mate, they bite from cold, unlike EBC Blue for example. They are good pads, not as goos as the RS 29 but good all the same.

^Agree. They are good pads. They are very docile for gentle driving and can also take a beating. Like the OE pads.

Be careful though because IIRC they list them per wheel. You need to buy 2 lots to get enough for an axle set on the RS6. Easy to get caught out.

You could try some Pagid RS4-2-1. Unlikely to be cheaper than OE though.

Dunno. The same kind of wishful thinking that allowed you to rationalise buying an RS6 probs. Even on the M3 they cost more than that and the calipers are puny on that.

Yes I see what you are saying however it does make me wonder just how much of the cost of these parts is due to quality / performance of parts vs just charging more because it’s an RS?

That's expensive. I'm sure you can get them for a lot less. I've never needed the fitting kit (spring pins). Depends what condition yours are in. Think I paid more like 250 last time I had some. They are the same pads as the RS4 B7.
Shopp, are the b7 rs4 disks the same as ours?

Strange thing is I pulled my pads out yesterday to clean and lubricate them to try and eridicate a squeal.

The rubber backing has the Audi logo with part number printed on it but just above that on the actual backing plate is printed ‘Pagid’.

Is it the case the OEs are the same as the £80 Pagids and just priced up for stealer prices?

Pagid make the OE pad, but they are not the same as the cheapo ones. The OE ones are vastly superior.

I wonder how much the same compound would be direct from pagid...

Has anyone tried the Brembo HS2000 in our cars? Very reasonably priced upgrades
