My Mugello Blue RS6

Post by EireRS6 » Fri Dec 29, 2017 12:29 pm

Hello,

I'm new to the forum and have just purchased my first RS6 from another member on here.

It's a 2004 Mugello Blue with 89k miles on it.

I absolutely love this thing and it's condition is a credit to it's previous owner who spared no expense on it.

I have scared the life out of myself reading horror stories about these but it has had a lot of the major jobs done so I will just do my best to look after it and hopefully it will be kind to me!

Anyway, I'm sure I will have lots of questions so I hope to get your help and advice in the future.

One of the things I need to do is fix/replace the armrest cover so if anyone can help, it would be appreciated.

Cheers

Footlong replaced his armrest with one from ebay and he cannibalised the mech of the old one. He did a thread on here about it.

That's EcurieEcosse's old car. Noice.

You also need to get rid of those gash wipers. Put some allroad Aero wipers and arms on there and it will look much better.

Hello and welcome!

You've picked up a good one there. He looked after it well.

Are you in the republic?

Ah that's a shame, I was hoping there would be another C5 over here.

Enjoy the car, they are amazing (if looked after properly)

Cheers,

They're can't be many people running them over there I'd imagine.

Hope to drive over next summer for a couple of weeks.

Arm rest cover repair kit from Audi is £30 and easy 5 min job. I can get part number for repair kit if needed?

Ben, that would be great. It's the 2 plastic lugs that are broken where it hinges.

Lovely car that, looked a good buy.
Before I got mine I scared myself silly reading about what could go wrong, in fact I waited 10 years to jump in because of this but have not regretted since. The way I look at is, cars go wrong, fix it and get on with it, life is too short!

I've ordered an armrest cover off ebay so I'll take the leather cover off mine and stick it to the bottom part of the ebay one.

I've also ordered an Autoglym headlight restoration kit as the tops of my headlights are a bit cloudy.

Are you saying buy the whole assembly from the splined shaft?
