I don't like the bit that says it will require custom tuning...

I think you're screwed. They're not *that* unreliable. Just get a couple from Audi to leave on the shelf.

Might be worth a try. It's not expensive. Let us know how you get on. :)

What are the symptoms of a dodgy n75?

My car feels a bit ‘wooly’, not quite as sharp as it should. Was wondering if changing this would help, or the MAFs?

I had defective debimetres the cut is more brutal and you have a default Vagcom / VCDS, the N75 is more vicious you lose the performance rather gradually and you end up with a V8 atmospheric turbos leave on vacation and especially no default to Vagcom

The N75 is opening and closing to regulate your boost, controlled by the ECU. So if it's not working properly you'll get either less boost than you should or more, or both.

You won't get a code for underboost, but you will for overboost.

Thanks Shop. It is an underboost feeling, though sometimes at Wot in higher gears boost cuts like you’ve hit the Rev limiter.

No warning light though.

Could be N75. Could be DVs. Could be lots of things. :)

You need to log stuff with the Vagcom to figure it out.
