Do C5 calipers go over C6 discs (front)?

Looking to replace my discs and currently rebuilding calipers so.

Do C5 8pot brembos go over the 36mm thick C6 discs. I'm sure I've read of the swap being done but want to check before I splash the cash of discs. I'm looking at an aftermarket disc and bell setup, possibly APs! Calipers will either be spaced out with a plate between existing mount and caliper or I may make up new mounting brackets to deal with the 365-390mm bit of the swap.

Thanks

Yeah. I think I've seen all the variations on the theme.

Anyway, the OP is asking whether the calipers will go over the disks. Yes they will. The C6 disks are the same thickness. However, the bell is deeper so you can't use spacers to bring the calipers out. Also, the disks foul the hub carrier so you have to put spacers behind them. Or behind the hub.

Conclusion: it's not worth it.

S6 C7 400x38 discs have the same offset as rs6 c5 365x34, simple 2cm spacer is enough between the carrier and calliper. you just need to cut 2mm off from each side so it will fit inside the calliper.
