RS6 Stolen

Post by armyair » Thu Oct 05, 2017 9:54 pm

After 4 fantastic years of ownership my RS6 has been stolen from my house for a 2nd time but this time in broad daylight in the middle of the day. This time they have used a car transporter to drag it off my drive and ferry it away.
Quite a specific MO and hopefully they get caught. They left a trail of oil in their wake so they've popped something on it.
F***ing scumbags. I sincerely hope Karma catches up with them in a very unpleasant way.

Sadly I think they will probably break it.

Last one is when they used it on Fifth Gear.

It takes some brassneck to shift it off the drive in the day. They really have taken the piss. This is twice some scumbag has had her now. The oil all over the driveway means they obviously didn't care about being careful.
If I was a betting man I'd guess it's being dismantled as I type.

Bunch of thieving feckers. You've not long spent a few quid on her too haven't you? Hope it works out better than you anticipate.

I've spent in the region of £3k in the last year. Just really got her back to where she was 3 years ago when it was stolen. It picked up a few mechanical gremlins which I was happy to see the back of.
The more I think about the scum that have taken it, the more it winds me up. Last time the Police were all over it. This time it's a different MO and the Police in Warwickshire have been decimated due to cuts so there is nobody to investigate in all likelihood.
Somebody else about 20 doors down has a C5 RS6 and I was tempted to give him a knock to make him aware it's not as safe as the sleepy private estate would suggest. Thought it would just give him sleepless nights instead.

Sorry to hear this. Are there any new / distinct bits of the car that we can all watch out for? Not sure anyone would be stupid enough to list stuff on ebay but you never know..,

Weird that they would nick it to break as it's surely not going to make a huge amount of money in parts.

Was it engine oil or transmission oil on the drive way? Just wondered if they had hooked / damaged the oil cooler lines at the front dragging it?
