rs6 c5 power loss and supercharging circuit leaks

Post by djbilbao » Mon Oct 02, 2017 8:38 am

hello has all the happy owner of a rs6 c5 before 2002 totaling 180000km 500cv for less than a year the performance of this one decoivent a little before I had the same model 500cv also which was impressive , in comparison I will say that it has the same performance as my old s4 b6 344cv has some horses near :? ,
I've done leak testing by making the pressurization tool for rs6
Image
but I can not maintain the slightest pressure attached the video test
https://photos.app.goo.gl/LBvBRYHTcgt4KrWz2
I had to repair my exchangers which leaked replace the six hoses in silicones they were not terrible but not pierced despite its still no pressure, I even isolates the return of the right turbo on the N75 thinking I had a leak on wastgates always the same yesterday jai isolates the left turbo and I put alone pressure as blue schema
Image
no pressure either and when I test the whole I hear the turbo right facing the car turn and very little or not the left I specify that I put only 1 bar, I hope that someone can help me it is truly exhilarating to have an exceptional car and trainer like his :(

Log your MAFs and requested and achieved boost.

Weird that you're not getting pressure in the blue arrows. Maybe cracked turbo housing.

Can you spray with some leak detector and use a borescope to see if there are any bubbles?

To me this test looks unlikely to work, that is assuming I have understood what you have written! Are you blocking the pipework from the intercoolers up to the inlet manifold? If not, then any pressure could potentially be going straight past the throttle valve if it were not perfectly sealed, or it could also be going through the dump valves too. Maybe the dump valves are defective if they are the originals?
For me, I would disconnect the hoses at the outlet of each intercooler, bung the end of the hose to make a seal, then redo the test. This should at least prove if the leak is between the turbo inlet as far as the intercooler outlet. Then you could test the rest of the system.
As Shoppinit suggested, do the logging first - maybe the N75 is bad, maybe MAF etc.

thank you to you I will try to make a log back evening to come back to have a visual debimetres, my diverters valves are new, as well as hoses and exchangers except hoses reference 30
I have an endoscope and a leak detector I was able to spray on the front of the left turbo no bubble testing the whole cricuit, skyegtb was right I had not thought that its going through the secondary air circuit my test is not good

I had to blank the two pipes off that run along the side of each rocker cover to the disc shaped black valves at the front of the engine. Its just so the pressure does not escape into your crankcase when pressure testing the system.

Those are the ones, the rubber pipe that runs too the bottom of those valves, remove it from the valve and put a blank in the rubber pipe. The valves only shut when they see a vacuum so dont shut off when pressure testing.

if I follow you it is necessary to seal these hoses to make a functional test of pressure? which makes sense on other forum no one does and he gets some curious pressure

Hello the new jai ended up dropping the fact that I can not pressurize the whole considering that on my old it does the same and that it has boost to resell on advice of my preparer I interchange the N75 despite the that the ohmic value is good that it reacted to the test action 03 and that the air comes out of the good tube according to the state, its eat no bread I exchange and surprise at night it takes off the bitumen again hoping that it will help some despite that it should be good on paper the latter was very faulty
