Checking for TCU remap

Is there anyway of checking if a TCU has been remapped and who's map it is?
I bought a spare TCU and it has been opened up before and the soldering on the TCU chip doesn't look OEM.
Anyone know what the numbers or markings are on a standard chip?
I have attached a pic of mine which may give someone a clue to it's origins.

Sweegie is the only guy I know who DIYed his TCU, so he knows quite a bit a bit about it. As it's a solder job, everyone else mail orders it really.
BTW - where is it in the car? I've never checked if mine is stock, or not, even.

It's under the carpet in the drivers side footwell in front of the seat.
Its inside a black plastic box.
10-15 minute job to get it out.

If you can select 5th gear at 30 MPH then it's been remapped by whom is anyone's guess.

Although some mods don't let you do that so it's no proof it hasn't been messed with.
