Insurance

Post by Mɐʇʇ » Tue May 30, 2017 10:51 pm

Just wondering who people are going with for insurance. Just renewed mine today with Adrian Flux. All mods declared - seems a bit annoying that the mods, which in most cases are just to fix Audi's quality control issues in the first place, cost more to insure.

I've only got one option come renewal, no one else will touch it.

It's the car. I've called every insurer, the moment they ask the power uplift and I reply it's *click* Hel..hello? Are you still there?
It used to be 580notes with Darth, inner East London, not far from the Murder Mile.

780PS/869Nm or 848. I can't remember.

Come to think of it. It's an odd way to judge insurance. I mean, say you wrap the fukker around a pole and you've only insured it for a 10% uplift, when in fact it's a 45% uplift. They'll hardly be able to wack the thing on a dyno to disprove you. That said, you'd want to have the ECU designed to self-destruct upon impact.

Good point. On most aftermarket tunes, it's actually pretty difficult to download the tune (involves dismantling the ECU and putting jumpers on the chip to tell it to boot up differently). I think my continued plan will be to avoid needing to make a claim in the first place.
