Mpg since my chip!

Well guys,

I've been having plenty of fun since the Abt conversion.. I can't believe what a great drive it is now.. even the brakes seem to be spot on.. just a joyful car to drive...

anyway, back to the point.
Cleared the DIS on re-delivery of the car and my average mpg is now 14.8mpg... down two mpg on before!!

I managed 110 miles out of 60 litres recently. Problem is: I have a relatively standard S2 and that is on the wrong side of 10 mpg! I am going to need a bigger fuel tank for when I get my mods done!

To be honest I'll be gutted to see it go...

It's everything.. fast, georgeous.. audi's top of range (for the minute), gets nice looks, people come up and chat.. and I will miss all that...

but it's time for me to knuckle down, get on with the business (you know there's a certain thrill in buying up the competition) and set my family up. My old man reckons I'm finally getting old and sensible..

I've spent far far too much on cars in the last 10 years.. I've had some great times but I don't feel I've got anywhere to go from here...

So it's a bit of downsizing and enjoying cars where I can feel I can leave them in a car park overnight, or give them a good hammering without the worry of spoiling my pride and joy.

It'll be nice to get a TT, but it won't be the same.. how can anything come close to 500bhp.. christ.. I mean I'm half way to formula 1 !!! [img]images/graemlins/clap.gif[/img]

Good luck with the additional business. Hope it is worth it and everything works out well for you. Glad to hear that you are doing the right thing.

I am sure that you will miss the car but at the end of the day it is just a lump of (expensive) metal. Securing you family's future must take priority.

You must drive your upgraded RS6 faster than I do. I get an average of 16.7mpg or if I am doing motorway driving I get as much as 19mpg! On the bhp bit, my audi dealer told me that it was 520bhp not 505bhp. which is correct?

It does go though, I don't think I could let mine go, I was thinking of going for the 600bhp upgrade that has now come out.
