Mine has suffered through years. I have seen some for sale but the dimmer roller is on the other side. Whats the deal with this? My dimmer is to the left of the housing sitting in a RHD.

It's a pretty Comoon problem that the coating comes off and leaves the white plastic showing . I too have seen pretty of the copy parts either for the non xenon version or for LHD versions . Somthing I've not looking on to a lot though as I have a lot of stuff above interior trim parts on my list . I've sure there was a discussion about aftermarket housings someone had found not long ago. Have a search, you may come across it

Could it not be spray painted by someone that does plastic bumper repairs or similar?

Only problem with painting them is that you loose all the icons .

Bummer. You'll never be able to work out how the switch works then.

Has anyone actually tried plastidipping? Want to do my interior door handles where it's peeled, but really really don't want to do them and it look pants.

I was thinking of getting rid of the soft touch plastic on the handles and take it back to a gloss finish that seems to be underneath. Will match the piano black inserts I guess.

Friend of mine has is van plastidipped, doesn't seem particularly hard wearing. It can be removed with wd40 so God knows what a strong interior cleaner would do to it . I'm just gonna strip mine back and use fine texture black on them .

The actual switch and the fascia are seperate units, so if you can buy a spare swapping over the bad bit isn't that hard. I've got one but I never got round to refurbing it.

Want to do them, but really really don't want to do them. I'd say don't want to do them wins.
