Has anyone tried the units from Seicane.com. Just looking at options. I have a double din kenwood but I hate the fitment and doesn't look OE. The android units seem a snug fit with perhaps more upto date tech?

I'm the same as I'm not a fan of the aftermarket look. Had a look at the units you mention a while back, they seem alright but I'd have thought there would be lots of glowing reports for these Android type units and most comments are along the lines of better than expected. Not easy to gauge how low their expectations were! Few mentions about poor sound quality.

Most up to date tech is usually in your phone. So I have a £100 bluetooth streaming device in place of the CD changer and a cradle bespoke to the phone. The phone goes into 'Car mode' when it connects to the bluetooth and is charging all the time in the dock without unsightly wires everywhere.

Hands free calling, satnav, internet radio and spotify work really well in the car. The buttons on my RNS-d can still cycle forward and backwards through MP3's played on the phones media player or Spotify so I'm not messing around with touch screens whilst driving. Also keep the DIS if I feel like reverting back to normal radio or taking a chance with the ancient car sat nav!

It's not perfect, but then I haven't really seen a system that gives you everything. Some get close but come with big price tags.

I bought the car with the double din kenwood. Still have the rnsd. might look into fitting it back. hopefully the loom hasn't been butchered behind.

I may just take the plunge and get one of those units though.

I'm still completely happy with my Pioneer SPH-DA120 running Carplay. Just fitted another one into the 2nd car too.

Any pics of the install? Are those pioneers wider than normal double din?

any other options, I am quite fond of android and would prefer an android unit, main point for me is as long as I dont have to modify the dash/wires etc need it as PNP as possible.

I'm more than happy with just a standard Android unit. IMO it brings the car a little more up to date. These things look incredibly dated IMO, although I get some people like the "Retro" type look.

I like the retro look in older cars, 70's 80's etc....

I just picked up one of these. To my surprise it talks to the dash. Information from music/radio is displayed on the dash. It sounds every bit as good as the Kenwood spent 1k on. I wanted a CD player and the Kenwood didn't have one. So I took the gamble. Easy plug and play install as well.

The Kenwood will be limited by the speakers in the car. Add in a decent set and you will notice the difference between the 2 units.

I've looked at those before, would be interested in if they're decent.

Its not bad. I have Pioneer 4Ohm mid/base speakers with the Bose amp and tweeters. Sounds good enough for me. Looks much better in the dash than the Kenwood as well. Kenwood now in the Hilux.
