C5 RS6 Oil Cooler Pipe - Part number/Source Required Urgent

My oil cooler pipe on my C5 RS6 has corroded near the bracket that can be seen through the lower grill. It's dripping oil and if it goes completely and drops loads of oil I understand could be expensive, so need to order the part ASAP and fit it (front end off?)
Audi have got me the part number M V4B3 317 816 C for N/Stock Line at a price of £190

(it's 24 inches of cooler pipe with a connection either end ffs.
Anyway, anyone know the best place to get this part?
Cheers

I think Chunky79 might have a spare one. If not, he knows all about the variations since I think he bought all of them when he did.

Currently half way through this job on mine! Same pipe that runs past the front lower grill and into the passenger side lower side of the cooler, was going to just take mine off and drop it into a hydraulic hose specialist and get one made up, but don't really fancy the flexi hose in sight through the grill but will let you know if I find any other alternatives.
Are you going to split the pipe at the joint seen in the picture or is the pipe from Audi the full line up to the filter?
I just took the under tray off and both front arch liners to give them a clean and check a few things and makes getting to the bolts on the inside of the front bumper a bit easier!

Just replied to Sulli.
I have my old hose in the garage 4b3 317 816b if someone ever needs it to get a pattern hose made up. The spare hose I have is the short one that goes on the other side of the cooler (I have it for sale on here) This one will be as corroded as the long pipe, but TPS got the wrong set up for me and wouldn't accept returns.

Interested in the hydraulic hose specialist thing, was thinking the same myself, saw it in wheeler dealer since, much better alternative. Know any?
I am getting mine done in a garage, have no time to do myself.

If you can't find a hose specialist, Have a chat to some air conditioning company's. They make up bespoke pipes and use crimp fittings . I use a company called Polar Air conditioning, Based in the northwest . Not sure how far they are from you .

There's a few hydraulic hose specialists in COVENTRY where I am, big engineering base here, so have emailed a couple.

Hi, i have exactly the same issue and am looking at options
, local garage have quoted £407 inc vat to fit new audi genuine pipe ( the long one ) but have said they could ask pirtec to come and have look at making one up.
I have heard horror stories about the brass nut to aluminium Union on the cooler being corroded and stripping threads on removal of the pipes meaning a new cooler is needed!!!
Any truth in this? All tips great fully received

Yes. It's very true. Have a look at the FAQ for a possible work around.
Also don't try to unscrew from the cooler. Cut the nut with a Dremel. Search on here.

Order the parts you need to make up a new flexible hose from
torques UK - My DIY thread on repairing one of the other hoses will give you all the dimensions you need as starters. (I've used their kit for everything from oil cooler systems to fuel, brakes, even hydraulics for a powerboat - it's all good stuff). I recommend making it in teflon.
Or - Use a pipe cutter (definately not a hacksaw) to cut the damaged area and splice in a new flexible section with a couple of jubilee clips. Not an elegant solution, but less major surgery which I've done as a "temporary" fix before on a a couple of cars i had. Worked fine.

Cut the pipe union in 2 places a dremel and peel the union off the cooler, don't try undoing it at all. The thread may still be damaged, but there should be enough to tidy up with a thread file/ junior hacksaw blade.
I've used most of the Pirtek depots in the Midlands through work, the only one i'd really recommended for a job like this is Oldbury (ask for Aid to do the work)
