By the time you've done the duty, vat and shipping works out about the same as OEM (from summit, anyways)

That seems cheap. The RS4 ones, which may be the same part number, were selling at 410 pounds at a huge discount in December last year. Probably 100 pound off the normal audi price.

They are about £520 for OE parts.
Part numbers are: 077109088P and 077109087P for cylinders 1-4 and 5-8 respectively.
Looks like the Autodoc part is compatible.
Don't know anything about Vaico, but it's got to be better than some spurious bits off eBay.

Have to admit, I'm really in 2 minds. Or 3.
I've found my LHS adjuster has injested it's gauze inlet filter - I found a bit of the debris from it inside the adjuster piston.
However it was/is working fine.
So I can't really decide whether to strip and clean it, buy new OEM or buy that Vaico one. (I note the Vaico one does have 19 positive stars against it).
And - it looks like it must've left the factory like this - it's been fine for 16 years etc....

It's a tricky one. In theory you shouldn't have debris in your oil if you are caring for your car correctly and the filter would be redundant, but my OCD would compel me to put a new one on there. I think I would try the Viaco one, though. Seems like a reputable company having had a quick look.
