Idris Elba RS6

Post by audi_driver79 » Fri Nov 06, 2015 11:47 pm

Now I didnt watch this series but I knew they used a C5. Looks awesome but your not really getting the full benefit of the car with a stripped out interior are you. Definitely track days only for this one!

Didn't this blow the gearbox?

Anyway, I'd buy it and then break it as thats the only way you'd make your money back!

PS Loved the bit in the ad - "the interior ripped out to make it ultra lightweight" - LOLOLOLOL - plus, using the words "ripped out" in an advert

I though it was a 1:18 model at first glance.

Then I thought it was an Allroad.

Now I just think it's overpriced junk.

600bhp?! LOL no. not that car. Not even with the nos as it just makes the box slip as we saw in the program.
Apparently uprated wheels brakes and tyres too, even though they are all standard. Bloody idiots!

I've had mine on track a few times... they don't do too well lol. It manges ok on the nurburgring but goodwood and silverstone were a bit of a fail! (Although i had people coming up and telling me how good it sounded lol)
Edit: to elaborate on that, they're just faarrrr too heavy so you put it into a tight bend and it just wants to slide, which is amusing as hell until you see the tyres!!

Yeah, I meant that's all its relegated to now. No days out with a family in tow or the dogs. I have seen a couple of your charity track day vids Si and I know I won't be going near one unless I want a new set of brakes and tyres, not that its anything to do with your driving it just not engineered for that. Its a real shame that this car will probably now get broken.

I wonder how much weight was saved. The MTM club sport was quite "light" IIRC. If you could remove 300 kg from the RS6 then you'd be in M3 e46 territory weight wise and it might be amusing on the track. I can't see it getting anywhere near 300kg though.

Still looks like a shed though.
