Tyre Pressure Sensors

I have recently had the alloys on my RS6 refurbished and decided to replace all 4 tyre pressure sensors. Not thinking anything off it after they were fitted I had a puncture and noticed that the sensor did not activate. I have checked the owners manual but this says you go into the computer using the knob on the ecntre console but this does noy even pick up that they are installed. When I had the tyres replaced I chjecked that they were actiually fitted so I am looking fr any information that I can get as to how I activate the sensors after being replaced and get the car to recognise they are there? I appreciate that this might have been asked many times before but I cannot see anything in the forum that helps me so sorry if I am asking the obvious?

If you have
Vagcom, you can read the info from the sensors ( tyre pressure, ambient temp, battery life remaining, position and a few more ). I did mine recently and had no issues. I ordered from Alloy Wheels Direct and got HUF BERU RDE001 TPMS tyre pressure sensor.
What sort of sensors are you using?
Cheers

I bought the Audi sensor from Star Performance, very expensive so wont be happy if they are not working? However, the problem I have is they were given to the people refurbing my alloys so not sure if they have been installed correctly so will need to get the Jim or Brian to check it on
Vagcom to confirm they are working and that they fitted the batteries?

Sounds like they were previously coded out with the
Vagcom. Probably the DPO didn't want to replace them and got fed up with the warning coming up on the dash.
To confirm, follow the procedure to learn the tyre pressures. If the option is missing from the menu then they've been coded out.

I did not know that!
