Newbie, and does anyone know this car?!

Good evening all!

Ready to be FON'd ;-)

I'm Jay, 25 and from Kent!

I'm looking at buying an RS6 that has come up local to me, so was wondering/hoping anyone on here knew anything about it?
.

Personally, want to scratch that itch before I settle down and buy a house, probably will be an expensive couple of years but life's too short I suppose!

FON.

Not very up on plates but OU might be an Audi UK or demo car. I think OY are press duty cars. I'm sure someone will be along soon to set everything straight.
No matter where you go, there you are.

It's a nice low price and the car looks unmolested, clean and lovely in Misano however I spotted that the front brake discs look scored with 2-3 thick lines, maybe from the metal studs in worn pads, so "potentially" £700-1000 to replace discs/pads if I'm right (and the advert says drilled but they're not). The wood trim is "interesting" :D and the RNS-D is almost obselete as a Sat Nav but if the service history is good then it's definiately worth a further look.

Cobham is a bit far from Kent for me but there might be other owners nearer who would be able to lend a hand if you wanted?

Thanks Ian!

Wood trim would be going!! Lol

Have already looked at it, but had to take a step back and have a serious think before committing myself.

Car had a few minor issues, back right window doesn't go up without assistance (probably just the window clips), the satnav needs a code (so unable to test the Bose), drivers side lumber adjustment doesn't work, and the back of the rear armrest (the through loading thingy!) seems to be half hanging on, but knocked money off for all that.

And front bumper has been resprayed at some point.

Overall, car was clean, gear changes were smooth and precise and drove well. Has coilovers fitted.

Has the service book, but not many receipts. Had invoice for 2x cam belts, the coilovers, with one more being due this year on age only.

MOT history shows car has done 2-3k miles every year for the last few years, and all adds up.

To be honest, it would be nice to have someone who knows what they are looking at as although we have experience with cars, we don't know enough about these!

I wonder if JK's if still going. OU03 FXZ.

Is it a private seller or a dealer?

Who serviced it?

///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper

Slightly off-topic. I have an OU03. Assumed that it was just a normal geographic identifier (e.g. this link indicates that OU = Oxford).

For what it's worth, mine's been a goodun!
