House broken into today 24th march keys stolen car taken from garage

Black 03 Plate Avant KV53 YML

Car last seen between Hampshire and West Sussex got picked up on an ANPR camera

Totally gutted pride and joy gone

Sorry to hear that having been there recently I at least in part know how you feel.
Regarding the tracker if it hasn't lapsed for too long so there is still battery power I had heard that the tracker can be re activated. May be worth asking tracker they can only say no. It may be something the police have to ask for but bearing in mind the car and what is likely to be used for then they might think it's worth a try.

With the amount of cuts to the police service, there's not much chance of them finding it.

Can you put a picture on here so we know what to look out for? Or at least the colour and trim spec.

Just had the front bumper painted last week!!

So they did it without the keys? Has anybody investigated hiding one of those gps trackers you can just buy and locate with your phone or pc?

I think you can do alot with "customizing"the wiring/fuses in the fusebox and/or wiring connection for VCDS lead...
Downside of it is you have to wring yourself beneath the dash or somewhere else to get it started

Sorry to hear it. Chances are they are going to use it for:
- some sort of 'bank job'
- break it for spares (check ebay etc)
- to thrash around for a few hours then dump it somewhere.

I doubt its the latter though. Its an awful lot of work to just muck about with a car.

Maybe it's for ransom, they'll put a note through your letter box wrapped around an indicator stalk to show you they're serious!

Sorry, shouldn't joke. I just hope it doesn't get destroyed, that pisses me off more than anything when they set them on fire when they're finished. Why not just wipe it down and leave it so at least someone gets their pride and joy back!

While I know this won't help the OP, I posted a link to this the other day. Everyone has an old iPhone kicking around! I've just ordered a giffgaff sim for mine to see how it gets on. Obviously won't post where I'm gonna hide it - but there's lots of places that have a +12V supply. In my case, I'll make it a permanently live supply - so phone battery only kicks in when main battery is disconnected.
