Anyone in the NE.

Shot in the dark i know but is there any C5 owner in the NE who would be willing to let myself have a look round their car, talk through issues to look for, show where to look etc, basically get a good look round a C5 with someone who has knowledge of the cars. I'm really swinging towards the C5 over a B5 RS4, due to the load carrying capacity for my needs.

I know people will say just go see one in a garage but i would rather do without some salesman who doesn't know the first thing about the car. I'm more than happy to travel/meet up with anyone, i wouldn't expect it any other way.

I've done the same with a couple of my cars in the past to help out people new to the cars in questions.

If anyone could help, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Chris

If nobody comes forward to help, could you pop over to Unit20? (don't know how far away you are) Grizz normally has a C5 in and he can also tell you what to look out for.

I'm in the North East and you're welcome to have a look around my car. It's about as north east as it gets in mainland Britain though, at around 15 miles from John O'Groats......

Mine's there atm and probably for another week or so. If it's ok with Martin feel free to have a poke around (avoid the boot area, can't remember if that hooker is still in there...). You may even want to make me an offer I simply couldn't refuse :bigblink:

How much are dead hookers going for these days?

My apologies, I'm in North East England, just outside Newcastle.

Bit of a trek then; depends on how serious you are about owning one, Grizz (and Lee) have worked on loads over the years, they know you know. :nodder:

I'm very serious about owning one. I just like to research, speak to owners, research some more and take my time to make sure I get what's right for me.

It took me over a year to get my RRS and there's an abundance of those, I'm a bit old school when it comes to finding the 'right' car, although I would like to think 41 is still a youngster these days.

Hi carterjohn,

Just to get a good look round one with an owner/enthusiast. Pick their brains on ownership etc.
