Cracked Bumper Help

Post by longman h » Thu Jun 12, 2014 5:11 pm

OK, so me being the tw@t that I am, managed to reverse into a huge great concrete pillar today and I'm f*ck*d off to say the least.

Anyway, can anyone recommend a decent firm to repair the cracks and other damage as the chances of finding an Ebony Black Avant bumper are about as good as finding a healthy tooth in Jeremy Clarksons mouth.

So if anyone can recommend a solution or provide some help, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

H

Tis a good point.

I'm in Bromley which I suppose is classed as SE London/North Kent.

Could be worth giving Unit20, MRC and the like a shout to see if they have one? It maybe worth posting a few pictures just so we can see how bad the mess is, just so it gives us and idea of what work could be needed and therefore give you better advise on where's best to go.

I had a mate who used these guys www.revive-uk.com who did a pretty good job on painting his bumper but not sure if they operate in your area. Alternative to MRC and Unit20 and a bit closer to you would be www.amdtuning.com and www.qstuning.com if you wanted to give them a bell or try ap_auto-tech (search eBay) big supplier in the UK of second hand rs6 bits.
Cheers

That's great, thanks mate. I've just had a look on the Revive website and it looks like they have technicians all over the country, including Bromley.

I'll probably give them a call this week unless MRC can recommend anyone else when I see them tomorrow.

Already checked them but thanks anyway. I think they have every other colour than black. Law of sod.

Could you not get one and respray it? By the sounds of it your going to need to as it is. I had my front bumper done at the local Ding Masters, they did a great job and matched the colour very well.

Yeah I could but I reckon it will be far more expensive than getting it repaired. Obviously it may be too damaged to repair which means I'll be left with 2 options; buy and respray a different colour bumper or get a new one from TPS.

A good friend of mine works at TPS and has already saved me a large amount of cash, so he's probably my best bet.
