Who for TC??

Post by Irodeon » Wed Sep 04, 2013 3:46 pm

Hi Guys,

As you all know, my Torque Converter packed in a couple of weeks back, and have a new TC (not uprated- couldn't be tits waiting on it) but wish I had now which I am very much regretting, as the garage that was supposed to be doing the Job have got exceptionally busy and cannot book her in for this for at least 3-4 weeks- Nightmare R us...... and up here on the Scottish Riviera not a lot of people want to tackle it. My question is who would be the best to get this carried out, and what sort of cost, and time scale is involved.

Thanks in advance peeps :jump:

Didn't someone have a spare ACE TC going? Rings a vague bell, but might be imagining it.

I'd get my TC done by 517 trans, personally. It's a faff to sort temporary export paperwork, though.

Ive gone to see mackie transmissions in Tollcross about my differential and they looked pretty good. Didn't need anything done and only took gears with me so can't comment on thier work but they do seem to have a good name and are ZF repair Shop

If you get the chance to get an ACE verter then do it. Think it was Keaney who was selling the ace one on here.
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage
