As per title sold the RS6 a few weeks ago now i have found the ultimate weapon 2010 GTR with 15k this car is awesome

Not sure what a GTR is doing in the RS6 forum and not the general forum....

It's there to remind us how good looking our cars are...

They are ok but I would have the R34 every time personally.

Very accomplished car the R35

However it's to good which takes the fun out of driving.

Its too good but takes the fun out driving? Have you driven one properly? Its more than a handful when pushed so the no soul and its too good comments are bollocks. I thought like that because my only experience was a test drive, now I've driven on track and pushed the 35 its more rewarding then any Audi I've owned. The 35 can easily catch you out, over 30 degree steer and it go's rear wheel biased, great car and good choice op

thanks for your good comments, to Mr Footlong please read 1st post that will explain why its on this forum matey, To say it has no soul, you must drive one to feel it, i had the RS6 for 4 years good in straight line but bad on the corners, the GTR is a drivers car

If you were replacing the RS6 with another RS6 then it would make sense being in here, anyway . Still R34 if I had to have one, the "R35" is actually quite common around this area sadly.

i went from a RS4 to one back in 2009.

i enjoyed it but the running costs are horrific even compared to the rs6 - the main culprits being brakes and tyres. I know thigs have moved on and people are now using indys for servicing and have moved to normal tyres than the run flats however ive heard the car becomes spongy.

id say the RS6 and the GTR are in a different league though. would you put a dog in the back of the GTR? carry bags of sand from B&Q? in terms of performane though id like to see the pair against each other doing a rolling start.

They aren't the best looking car in the world, but I had one go past me in the van the other day and that gearbox is nice and fast! I would love the chance to drive one to see if they are as good or as bad as they are said to be.

The GT-R is a compromise just like the RS6. I decided to forfeit the bags of sand and love the GT-R. The new RS6 with a map could make me change back to an RS again.

Personally for me, I couldn't disagree more.
I have driven one on track quite a reasonable amount (right up until the dash lit up like a Christmas tree bitching about heat).

There is no denying that it achieved it goal completely - an accessible performance package that can be driven very very fast.
But that's part of the problem - it is one of the most flattering cars you can drive. But I get my kicks out of pushing a car with me doing as much of the work as possible. It's not about raw speed - a slower less powerful but balanced car is more fun to me if to get the fast times you have to work it hard. The GTR can be provoked but its very easy to lean on the systems.

I also think a comparison with a 2+2 with a 5 seat estate car is tricky as fundamentally different compromises as different cars.
As soon as you start comparing like with like (say Porsche 911 turbo) then the GTR is almost ordinary. Don't get me wrong - still great cars but not so clear cut when comparing with it's more natural peers (ok, price issues aside )

I don't dislike the GTR and it's a great car to drive but for me personally it wasn't the soul that was lacking but rather the "fizz". I totally get why some people would like it just it's not for me. Doesn't make it bad or wrong and I'd never ridicule anybody for buying one. A good example is last nights top gear comparing the MP4-12C, 458 and R8 V10. The McLaren is by far the superior supercar over the 458 in every metric. But after playing with a 458, yes it may be slower, not quite a sharp, down on power etc... but my god can it make the hairs on the back of your neck tingle and make you laugh out loud. Sure the McLaren is going to be fun but just in a different way.

30 degrees isn't proper over steer that's just "high spirits".
