RS6 and RS6 Plus Factory Ride Heights with DRC

In my quest to get my RS6 at the best ride height... I find myself asking what is the original ride height for a standard RS6 on 19s and what is the original ride height for an RS6 Plus?

So... I have one set of figures from 'ahoooga' (thanks!) from his RS6 as follows:

Front Left = 610mm
Front Right = 620mm
ahoooga gave the figures in cm so not sure if there are a couple of mm here or there.

These measurements are taken from the bottom of the wheel rim to the bottom of the wheel arch. The reason being that it's the most accurate way that I can think to measure it.

My car is currently sitting as follows:

Front Left = 600mm
Front Right = 593mm
Rear Left = 600mm
Rear Right = 594mm

(This makes it easier for everyone from difference countries rather than using Near Side or Off Side etc).

My PSS9s have been on for 7 years so the springs have settled a little on the drivers side. Once I've got the adjusters moving... I'll wind it up a bit.

My measurements were taken while the car was on a 4 wheel alignment 4 post ramp which is calibrated every 6 months.

I'm hoping that this could be a reference post in the future for others looking for this info.

Here's a diagram to make it clear where I'm measuring from and to.

Please could those with RS6 and RS6 Plus's with DRC and stock springs take some measurements and add them to this post please?

Thanks in advance.

Have a look at this: http://docs.kwsuspension.de/eah68610053.pdf

It refers to KW v3s but the measurements may be relevant for you. The hub to arch tolerance is between 340 and 360mm for an RS6 on KW v3s.

That is likely lower than the standard ride height, but IMO you go as low as you can within tolerance of suspension and other components, without rubbing or issues with clearance.

Also, you need to make sure that the axle ride heights are as close as possible to eachother, and I would suggest that you want the rake to be slightly lower at the front.

As for standard heights, sorry cant help.

I'm still on DRC with a non plus Avant and will take some measurements when I get back from my weekend away.

I'm a little confused as I thought all ride height measurements would be taken from the centre of the hub/wheel to the wheel arch in order to remove the different size of your chosen rim.

After years of tinkering with Range Rovers with air suspension that's how measurements were taken for setup?

Just a question as maybe there is something I'm missing!

Unfortunately there isn't an obvious centre on every wheel, you end up eye-balling it rather than it being very accurate

Going from the bottom of the rim, you have a definite point for your tape measure

He's right, needs to go fom hub/wheel centre.

In reality, it doesn't matter where we measure from so long as it's accurate

As the centre of the wheel is not as accurate, I'm using the measurement as above

My plus on DRC has the following measures.

Front Left = 618mm
Front Right = 618mm
Rear Left = 612mm
Rear Right = 614mm

I don't know about the springs, but I assume they are stock.
