Dan - how long is a piece of string??...

Cost of DRC repair depends on what's broken, and which version you have got.

V1 or V2 will be on their unless it has been replaced since about 2011 in which case it should be V3. If it's V1/2 then you will have to have a complete diagonal replaced (2 shocks plus the valve assembly - will cost around £1200 for the parts and a couple of hour's labour IIRC. If you have V3, and have identified where the problem is, then only the failed component needs to be replaced - £180 for a shock, but about £800 for the valve assembly (which gets knackered when the system runs at too low pressure for a while).

Critical thing is that the person re-charging the system knows what they are doing - most dealers don't!!

Good luck!

Dave

Good luck determining whether you've got the mythical V3 or not. :)

Daveperc is about spot on! I took the plunge and bought a c5 about 6 weeks ago 2003 with 63k on the clock. bit of a risk as it was an internet purchase! Audi replaced the Nsr shock and valve in 2010 for about 1000. Then an osf shock in 2012 and valve 970. New value in 2013 £928. I had a leaking drc pipe about 3 weeks ago which cost 300 to replace and 220 for a re charge. So it ain't cheap and depends if you want to keep the car original and get stung with a big bill every so often.
