No, what is your car mapped to, RON 98,99?

100 RON? Sweet!

/EDIT: Oh no it's not. Got exciting for a second. Just boggo V-power with some more soap in it.

Yeah, i've used it a few times and on every occasion I have, my ABS and TC lights come on. Something to do with fuel mixture running rich. Garage checked my MAFS, ABS sensors and reported nothing wrong so reckoning it might be the fuel or just a series of very interesting coincidences.....

Yes, but you're not in the UK - your V-Power could very well be different.

I came across this before the Nazis at PH pulled the thread:
Deleted pistonheads topic wrote: I have a very good friend that works for shell, he's quite high up in the company ( he's an area manager for the petrol stations). He says that this new fuel is just a re-brand and is no different. The octane rating is not guaranteed at 100. Vpower was never guaranteed at 99 either.

He said to check the small print.

He was very insistent about this................
I'm inclined to believe it. The curse of being cynical by nature...

Yep, it exists and it is a replacement for vpower with the same octane rating at 97 or 98. I'm not sure. The fact is that Shell v-power fuel in the UK is crap. For example in Poland you can buy a true V-power racing with 99 guaranteed and usually it has 100+ (tested at different petrol stations by some institution which controls fuel quality)

Yes, but some people are now saying that the Philippines is different to the UK.

Wow, my bad. I didn't spot that this was about Philippines :) So, no Nitro + Racing in the UK.
BTW does anyone know for sure the octane rating of Shell v-power (the old one) ?

As said it's V-power with soap that cleans deposits from the intake! I doubt it will do much if anything but would be nice for the FSI guys if it did.

Except in an FSI engine, the intake never sees any fuel, that's why they coke up in the first place. ;)

Why, is the exhaust/inlet wetted with fuel on FSI heads?

/EDIT Shoppinit beat me to it...
