The plus has gone

Post by Mr V10 » Tue Jan 22, 2013 5:21 pm

I've just driven and walked away from my plus for the last time.

Here is the last photo you'll ever see of it from me. I'm pretty upset to be honest. I had five people after it (without even advertising it) and it sold to the first person to view it (who really really knows his stuff) so that says a lot about how good a car it is, as he had viewed other RS 6's and walked away, I'm happy it's gone to a really good home. The owner also has a 650 BHP B5 RS 4, and a E46 M3 CSL amongst a collection of the mintest low mileage classic cars that I could only dream of. Still doesn't feel real the fact that I've let go of it, when I was getting the history together last night it hit me 'I'm actually doing this'. And a part of me wanted for the new owner to turn around and say he didn't want it. Plus, I expected it to leave this weekend/next week, but it went today so caught me off guard.

Amar, trust me when I say this...as soon as you get the keys for the V10 you will have forgotten the Plus in an instant

How do I know that, because I owned the V10 and it is MINT and truly epic in spec and speed and everything possible.

I did love the V10 and as it is for you it was for me my dream car....I just regret going R8 beforehand as I just couldn't get over the weight of the thing compared to how a mid-engined supercar handles...

Thanks guys, I hope so DK. That C6 has got big boots to fill. As I drove the plus to MRC today it felt so tight, especially with the Hotchkis and it sounded mega awesome and went like <beep> off a shovel. The new owner was behind me in his tuned 335D drifting every roundabout with the traction control off. Awesome.

Picking the C6 up on Tuesday, I'd get it tomorrow but Tuesday is my only day off. I wanted the C6 here before the plus went encase the deal didn't go through as I only let the plus go for THIS C6.

Also, DK. That's the reason I got the C6 before the lighter 997TT, I would have probably been disappointed if I'd done it the other way around and there's no way I was not going to have a V10TT at some point. I was even tempted to PM PhilT about his GTR as he mentioned he might be selling it, but the C6 it was.

It's a sad day!

But as you say, it's gone to an enthusiast, and lets be honest, it's probably the best plus in the uk currently. Obviously mine is second, and so on..

I hope the new owner pops by to say hello, and you don't spend too much time in the ghay c6 section! Hopefully when the next meet arises ill be able to see the beast in the flesh( the car that is, not your todger!)
I used to own a 6, now I'm just a lurker!
