Hi guys and gals. I am looking for a set of Euro headlight for my C5 RS6. I live in the us and they are no where to be found over here. The only ones here have that ugly amber reflector. I would appreciate any info on where I can purchase these to have shipped over the pond.

Thanks

Can you not modify your existing ones? Look on eBay.co.uk, there are a few being broken. If the seller won't ship to the US, feel free to ship them to me and I'll forward them on to you, I'll be in the US later this month I don't know how I'm flying yet, if it's our airline I could bring them across. PM me once you've found some.

Thanks Amar. I can and have modified US spec headlamps in my RS6. I hit a deer a week ago and busted up the front end pretty good, requiring new lights. I figured if I'm getting them, I would go with the Euro version. I prefer them anyway. I would like them brand new if possible.

Here's a pic of the damage soon after it happened.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Can you not order the European lights via a US dealer using a the European part number? If not, contact Stoke Audi, they will be able to help, make sure you tell them they're going to the USA and you won't pay the 20% VAT. If Stoke Audi can't help you, I doubt any other dealer will be able to. Sorry to see the damage to your six, fingers crossed it will be better than new once repaired.

4vever don't forget that Headlights purchased in the UK are for Right Hand Drive cars (They drive on the Left over there), and the Lights swing the Beam accordingly. I do believe that getting Headlights for Left Hand Drive cars would be quite difficult in Britain. A source in Germany would be better............................

Our lights don't swing.

They do move up and down based in suspension movement.

The Headlights for cars that Drive on the Left hand side of the Road project more light optically to the left of the road to prevent blinding oncoming drivers and to more thoroughly illuminate the Shoulder of the Road. That's what I mean when I say swing the light to the left or right. In the US where we drive on the Right hand side, the headlight swings more light to the Right. Headlights designed for Britain would blind oncoming Drivers over hear in the US and Vice-Versa. This has nothing to do with the Auto Leveling feature of the Headlights, this is Optical by design.....

The euro headlights have a switch at the back of them to set them for LHD or RHD. A lot of us drive into France/Germany etc... hence why Audi put the switch on there, so don't worry about that.

Not sure that's accurate, Amar. On many cars the switch is to flatten the beam so as not to dazzle other drivers. It doesn't necessarily transform the light from LHD to RHD. It might not pass inspection in this case.

I haven't experimented with the RS6 so I don't know what the deal is exactly.

Yes I forgot about that. So that might not be an issue if you switch it to the correct position.....

Nope Shops right, the switch only flattens the beam it does not switch from RHD to LHD. I took my 6 to Italy 2 years ago hence I fiddled around with the lights so found out it only flattens the beam.

Sorry, OP. I was mistaken, lucky Shop said something. Try eBay.de. Stoke Audi will still be able to get non UK euro RS 6 headlights though I'd imagine.

Thanks for the discussion all. That's the kind of info I needed.

I may just go with the US version and take the ambers out as I've done before.
