Then you want to gut your pre cats and get a stage two remap, about £1300 iirc, add another £900-1,000 to that if you haven't already got a Milltek.

Here are my graphs, it did 473 in April 2010 stock, then 481 last week stock and I think the 486 is with the downpipes and then 535 with the map. I'm not 100%, hopefully Doug will come across this and make it clearer.

Odd. JVCiggen made a lot more power by removing the precats and that on a standard map. I wonder where the difference comes from.

I did have Wagner IC's as well, which heat up slower than stockers so the power curve stays "on course" a bit longer in dyno conditions. Well it's a theory anyway.

Well, here is my motor on the ramp at work ready for the downpipe change -

Image

Here is what i normally work on in the back ground -

Image

Spent 4 hours on sat morning with my mate lowering engine/box only to find that trying to do the work on a 4 poster ramp makes it pretty much impossible
So long and short of it is, gutted downpipes are sat next to the ramp still and mrc will be fitting them.
We did have a look at the gearbox situation and can see how the guy's across the pond do it with engine in but can also understand why most people renove the lot.

Can't you use the ramp to raise the body on blocks?

The actual ramps are stupidly wide. I did my van's cambelt on there the other day and told my gaffer it would have been better doing it lying on the floor.
I now know why companies like mrc, unit20 and so on have 2 posters with legs that fold out

Thats one of the only job's that me and my mate have failed at
I would have another go at it but can't do this weekend and then it's only 2 weeks before it's at mrc anyway

Are you getting a Milltek at the same time too? Daveperc tells me you really need one to take advantage of the gutted cats, I need to go back to MRC for final alignment of parts. What date you booked in? Could try and coincide, then you can hear what a catless RS6 sounds like, trust me, it's the bomb.
Catless resonated is perfect, no drone and VERY loud when you floor it, and a real woolfing V8 noise on the overun if that makes sense, can't find a word to desribe it, Mooch says its a popping and banging but mine is really refined.

I'm going down on the 4th mate , i could wait by Lem for you and race down
I would like to hear a non-res with catless to see if it's too loud for the wife to use for work. think the farther-in-law can get a Milltek at cost through a company he sell's stuff too so got to sweeten him up.

4th will work with me, what time? You can take it for a spin if you want, 844 NM is laugh out loud fast. I'll try and book in the same day.

It's the day after i come back from vegas so will be pretty tierd but what better way can you wake yourself up than following a non-res milltek :rocker:
