Hehe, I have a text saved in my Drafts folder on my phone regarding the DRC problems which I created for the sole purpose of doing the live-text, but because I've got Watchdog on 'Series Link' on my Sky+ box, never end up actually watching it live so it is still in my Drafts folder. This coming Monday however I'll watch it live and join-in with the 'Mass live DRC text' and finally send it!

OK guy's what can we say in the txt , without writing a novel, should we all say the same thing so there will be a raised eye brow a or 2 at Watchdog.
Just found out 1 hour ago that my suspension will cost £350.00 + vat at Edinburgh Audi, thats a rear pipe and repressurise system.

Just came across this post on the TT forum:

http://www.tt-forum.co.uk/forum/viewtop ... d#p1407722

Looks like Audi admitted to instrument cluster failure only after the problem was highlighted on Watchdog... So getting TV exposure for the DRC might be the way forward...

Hi everyone

I had the car looked at the other day and I have a leaking shock on the offside rear, contacted the aftermarket warranty company (AutoProtect) who have asked me to contact one of their engineers to arrange an inspection, not admitting liability, understandable and so far very helpful. I had the nearside rear and a DRC valve replaced last year at a cost of £1200. Audi said they had contacted AutoProtect who had said that they didn't cover this failure because it was wear and tear. I wish I had known about RS246.com at that point. Not in the mood to pay again, in fact I will be looking to get the previous monies recovered.

i am certainly up for the suggested group action and will be texting on Monday. The car has done 112k, 2003, but handles really poorly, my brother can nearly keep up in his M3.

I will be watching and waiting to support any action, in the mean time I will be progressing my own situation in relation to the current failing shock. Just need to get the hare out of the grille first, lol.

Martin

Texting them when the show is live is an excellent idea, if it doesn't get a response first time we just keep doing it every show until they get pi$$ed and do something for us !

I've put the date and time into the phone as an alarm to remind me to send in a text and will draft a text out ready to send that way i dont have to be watching to know when to send it.

What is the phone number to send the texts to ?

Can I suggest that we post this idea up in the SRS site to alert as many people as possible to do this on the night ??

Also make sure all the RS4 owners do it too as there are so many of them with problems.

Ill be texting in, i have sent them an email regarding the issues we are facing, and audi's lack of interest unless you crash due to the suspension blowing up (like the letter i posted).
If anybody knows the text number, could they post it here??

Thanks

I think we would be best saying something along the lines of: 'dispite numerous correspondence to Audi, still have major issues with suspension system fitted to RS6/RS4 and it is DANGEROUS, please can watchdog look into this for me'

This is what I'm sending..........

Dear Watchdog.

Please investigate the suspension problems with the Audi RS6 and RS4.

My car has covered less than 35,000 miles and has had the whole suspension replaced three times.

Audi U.K. deny there is a problem but there are hundreds of RS6 and RS4 owners who know differently.

Warranty Direct no longer offer cover for the RS6 due to this recurring fault

This was a £70,000 car when new and the suspension is not fit for purpose.

Will it take a fatal accident for You or Audi to take notice (there have been some near misses) ?

Regards Richard E**** (Cornwall).

Good one mate
Was thinking of similar lines

Lets hope this all works in our favour :audibash:

i think we also need to work out what action we want Audi to take on this if asked

I know I would 2 things 1.like them to pay for a coil over set so my car isn't taken apart every year but also want a letter to say this will not cause any issue to my warranty policy too
2. Admit there is any issue and they will deal with it correctly

Is so tempting to phone CS again and speak to Girl I dealt with and point her in the direction of this thread just to highlight how stupid they are up there and what an Impact her stupid worthless letter has had on people
