Wait until the government starts charging us all per mile.

Took my mum to see her sis today - round trip of 120 miles. Not a single garage had any fuel on the route.
Fortunately drained some fuel out of the boat a couple of weeks back - hadn't intended to use it on the RS since while it is the 97 octane stuff, it's a bit old. Was saving it for the other cars.
Anyway, meant I had plenty of fuel for the journey - and it ran fine on the old stuff.

Anyone tried bulk ordering Aspen? https://www.aspenfuels.com/products/alla/aspen-plus/

Yes Matt. Have seen the queues at the forcourts round here on the east coast.
Luckily I filled up the day before.
What part of the country are you in ? Just in case I need some fuel from your boat ?

Oddly SWMBO went shopping in our local Tesco yesterday and the car (not the Audi) needed filling up. Bit of a queue which she joined, Tesco staff managing it.
No diesel so they got diverted away then she got told no 95, only Momentum. "That's what I always buy for this car" she (truthfully) said - "Over there madam".
Didn't take that long at all. Just one or two in front of her maybe?

Filled up yesterday.
No queues and vpower available. Still at 150.9 per litre.

Hope she wasn't driving a diesel!

My wife's petrol A3 waiting for a new turbo, so she's got my old diesel runaround, luckily full tank before all this nonsense started.
She wouldn't drive the RS6 for her 10 miles per day commute, so I had to for my 100 mile round trips, got nearly 25mpg out of last tank. Not best use of fuel and didn't want to put unnecessary miles on the clock, but maybe it's cheaper than wheel/ suspension repairs. Don't know why she can't avoid pot holes. anyone else have a similar problem?

Yes. Same problem. My wife needs updating, too.

Definitely petrol, a T5 Volvo with Polestar tuning so loves 99RON which she's well aware of.
(And Volvos have that gadget in the filler neck to stop you putting the wrong nozzle in anyway.)
As it happens my younger son, who lives just a few miles away, is heading off to Devon and filled up at the same place yesterday, said there was just a bit of a queue.
Today Google shows it as "less busy than usual" but that may be because it's got no fuel today…...

Hopefully all calming down at last, though personally I mostly blame the media for inflaming a relatively minor issue, then people over-reacting.

Tried 3 shell garages for fuel today no v power
Also tried Esso 99 Oct. also sold out.
And that’s with two refineries on our doorstep.
Beggars belief.

Lots are using super as it's E5. Also E10 is less fuel efficient. It's draining out normal stocks far faster and with a few places shut you end up with a cascade of people that have to keep going further for fuel so they're using more fuel to find fuel and on it goes.

I had a clanking diesel loan car in the week and couldn't get ordinary diesel. Had to put in vpower diesel at £1.60 a litre

And that's why BP stock is up 15% over a week.

Tried 3 different Esso stations local to me today, none have 99 supreme
2 weeks ago they were the only bloody pumps open, now I need to fill up there isn't any. I should have been a selfish <beep> and filled up when I didn't really need to like the other cnuts did.
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

All stations around here have nothing either. Looks like I will have no choice but to have regular 95 in her :-( I currently have way under 1/4 of a tank.
