I have never been beside him on a dual carriageway but have been behind him twice on backroads. The first time we were doing 60, I was a bit nervous but dropped into S and floored it, was around him with ease and don't think he reacted in time.

It was great fun but when I told me wife the reg P1EXE she said he lived around the corner and sure enough I saw him on the school run next day LOL

Great thread.

I started my 4-wheel action slightly later than most with my 20's being dominated by motorbikes. I also still have all of these cars (being too soft hearted to sell any). Having the Megane and Dacia in the list really lowers the average bhp!

1) Ferrari 550 '00 (always wanted one)
2) Megane coupe '96 (main virtue was cheap and kept abroad)
3) Mitsi Evo 8 MR '04 (which then got modded to 500bhp - trackday car)
4) Dacia Estate '07 (see 2) but was able to deal with expanding family)
5) Audi RS6 Plus '04 (see 4) but used everyday)

RS6 (MRC'd with econodrive) is not just for Xmas

Wish I could remember....its been in storage for the last 12 months. The main difference is set-up and handling - the delivery of power - big V12 which will happily trundle along at 30mph in 4th - is not disimilar to the torque wave of the RS - and both are consumate big-distance cars - but of course the 550 feels a lot more special to be in, especially because it is missing two noisy kids in the back (a key reason for starting to use it again :D ).

Why on earth would you take all the trouble to travel back in time just to drive a Metro?! Sure it wasn't a 6R4?

Or, was you driving illegally for 10 years and then decided to finally bite the bullet and take yer test?

edit (again) : Er, aged 7...

I'll get me coat...
