It looks like everybody is considering or busy with selling.

I'll never sell as after the next upgrades it'll own me too money. It'll probably get sent home for an epic road trip and then loaned/sold to a family member.

Before I think of selling, I have to do some work on the car and also go to Germany for some proper pleasure.

(I had to add a new timeframe!). Probably going to trade mine in in the new tax year. Really not sure what for. I'm tempted to run something ultra cheap for 12 months while I save up more cash for something awesome again, but I don't know if I could put up with driving a Ford TDi around.

Re: It looks like everybody is considering or busy with sell
Hello fellow members! I've still got my RS6 avant, which I've had for 4 years and counting. It's covered 59000 miles so far. I no longer have a budget to use it all the time. So rather than selling, I just keep the mileage down by using my van to commute to work. The car is a standard 450hp model and although has the odd blast, I drive it mindful of the costs of tyres, brakes - boring I know ;0) I suspect the fact that it still feels like new, is down to the previous owner being middle aged and careful and me caring for it more than myself. Audi in Worcester have looked after it since new, so the history is thorough and highlights some of the issues other members list in their stories.
I've not yet experienced any mechanical issues (touch wood) although for the previous 3 years it had warranty coverage, I had more than 1 of the following replaced - Parking sensors front & rear & Control Box, Tyre Pressure Sensors & Control Unit, Sun Roof Switch, Secondary Rear Coolant Pump, Headlight (height control lost), Fog Light (filled with water), Rear Washer Jet pipe (parted inside the boot.
I apologise for not joining into the gossip for some time, but I had to join in tonight/this morning, as if you can find a way to hang onto your car (assuming you love them like I do) and it's not financially crippling you or breaking down all the time, then you should be happy that your driving something rather special and with a semi-cult status that to me, now stands out from the mainstream stuff. I'd say it's only once or twice I see one out on the road per year on my travels, which makes them even more unique and special.
I hope you all enjoy them for as long as you are able to keep them.
Regards, CW.

Re: It looks like everybody is considering or busy with sell
It'll be 6 years for me in summer and I'll never sell. 95k miles now and it had virtually everything replaced at least once so far.
I'm not complaining though. While I'm taking good care, driving it warm and cold and looking after things, I certainly do not hold back and driving it hard to the limits many times. Just can't resist. My main commute is 4 hours on the Autobahn every other week and I'm trying to do the 175mph wherever I can. And that's just what the RS6 was made for, runs like on rails, just perfect fun.
Will never part from it, need to give it some rest those days though, need another milage workhorse (maybe 2nd Beast
