That's a shame to here that about them. Nothing should be changed without the go ahead from the customer! You either lose with a C5 RS6 or you lose big time with a C5 RS6.

Probably not slipping but stuck open, which will be surprising the 'box and causing clutch-pack slippy. All guesses though, these 'box are complex and have many avenues to failure.

Not wanting to be funny, but if the TC is slipping or is failing to lock completely at the requested torque load, I'd be putting it back to standard.

Smart man, a dumb man would move onto a stage 3 and rebuild the 'box with better stuff and cross fingers.
A smarter man wouldn't have bought a C5...

I have a spare and working tc that I took out of mine as I bought another and sent it to ace... If your going to do the box though I'd go ace.

Sounds like a tough decision ahead that no doubt many of is have endured.

Selling mine soon with it all done lol

To be honest I never noticed anything slipping till they told me after
Tge rolling road
the graph looks like it's only spiking up to 2000 revs so this maybe why I never noticed
Also they test it in 5 gear so maybe it only happens then???

What do ace do to the converter make it stronger???
How much for the ace one???

I'm really glad quattro GmbH got their act together for the C6, boxes bulletproof, coolers don't leak, fuel gauges that don't drain themselves overnight, working DRC.

I bet all the above will pack up on mine now, just to spite me.

Carbon ceramics that don't last, 20p oil ring that can't hold out a couple of years, bearings that wear prematurely, DRLs that fail... Yeah, they got it together... No, I ain't bitter...
