Can you tell us what you did in case any impressionable young minds want to emulate you?

Yup. Dave's garage is spotless compared to mine.

Being where you are, I expect you are growing mushrooms to farm in there and are maturing fine cheeses.

Haven't got time to wash the car let alone sweep the floor - anyway, I did it last year, what's the rush!

The house and garage are surrounded by pine trees so loads of needles get picked up pn the tyres when wet, and then as they dry, they all drop on the garage floor - well that's my excuse anyway.

Next time I'll blank the number plate and the floor so as to avoid further discussion of my cleaning habits!

I'm having the most weird déjà-vu.

Footers, I have so much trouble with rising damp that the mushrooms are growing in the house. My wife actually found a frog in our coat rack the other day. I shīt you not.

Brilliant. This chap will sort you right out:

As for Dave, surely at your advanced age, sweeping out the garage would be a highlight of your day/just plain take all day holding the broom and shuffling the Zimmer?

So are they permanently on or like DRLs turn off as soon as the side lights / head lights come on?

They are just on with the ignition. I guess I could do something more sophisticated with the headlights etc but haven't bothered. I rarely use side lights except when parked on a dark street, and frequently have the fogs on as additional light with the headlights anyway.

There must be a "proper" way of doing this somewhere in all the Audi blurb, after all, they sold the cars in Scandinavia etc where DRL's are mandatory.

And thank you young Footers for your disparaging remarks about my age!! Certainly wouldn't try and sweep with a Zimmer - it's much more fun with the rotating brush fitment on my mobility scooter!! :boots: :boots:

Sweet, does it double as a ride-on lawnmower too?

I saw a recent Vulva today today which appeared to have single DRL lights in the same location as our front fogs and they looked just like little round single bulb units too. Looked factory to me as the couple driving it had a combined age of Dinosaur.

Yep - and converts at the push of a button into an Autogyro for hedge and tree trimming! :drink:

Personally I'm very happy with the DRL mod - and it cost me less than a fiver which can't be bad on one of these beasts! :?

The Scandanavian DRL versions have the headlights on all the time. Not the fogs.

I personally wish they would ban foglights. Useless things do more harm than good.
