Hmmm, suspect in the least.

Press report says 100% of costs will be covered for both parts and labour. Now they are saying 'substantial' amount.

Looks like another phone call to dicky!

Ironside I'll be emailing you with my thoughts on the letter you forwarded to me later on today, Had to get some of it 'translated' to me lol.

Sorry if someone has thought of this before, however has anyone thought about the possibility that Mssrs. Starkey and Hicks read this forum and thus have some "intelligence" about our grouping together for a common goal? Would explain why phone calls are not returned etc. Might be worth doing the organizing on personal e-mails instead of the forums.

Audi Doncaster have just confirmed that because of an oil service a long time ago by a non dealer garage my suspension will not be covered. They have offered 50% as a gesture from them which I think is amazing considering Audi’s position. So fed up now with the whole DRC thing, hate getting my leg lifted. Time to press the green button boys.

Barrister and Solicitor in place, type of approach agreed, we will need as much support as possible in terms of information/proof of financial loss (ie spending on replacements etc.) and a commitment to funding such an action (the more that commit, the less it will cost those involved). We will also need I think to record issues with the car's safety when the suspension has failed. It is my intention to request financial support from warranty companies who have paid out for repairs to the DRC system. How much? Impossible to gauge but we have to be prepared to put a realistic fund together to take the necessary steps to get the matter to court.

I for one am well up for this considering the response from Audi, I am very angry that I had to spend my hard earned money last year putting something right that should not have failed in the first place. I am facing the same decision again and I can't see the point in throwing good money after bad. Replacing the whole system is the only obvious choice. I think Audi should be paying for this. Anybody agree?

Anyone wanting to contribute, please PM me and I will start the ball rolling. Rilla started this thread and I believe will be one of the main supporters for such action. The time has come.

I for one am not concerned if Audi read this forum, in fact I would be amazed if they don't. All I know is that the legal team are itching to go for this, Audi will find out soon enough.

I'm in. If this is the only way forward then I'm happy to spend money to kick Audi U.Ks useless asses !

Can I suggest that this is spread to the other Audi forums ?

If I get chance I'll post it in as many places as I can.

I will forward my email address via PM's and I will be developing a questionnaire in conjunction with the barrister to ensure all necessary contact information and issues, descriptions and cost substantiations follow a logical path, we don't want to pay lawyers to sort evidential stuff into meaningful formats. Should there be changes these can be easily updated as we go.That's so that bazza can keep adding visits to the dealers as the case progresses.

I will be contacting the warranty companies who have suffered loss with the DRC problem and asking for their support, I will be putting a thread up on RS6.com, any other forums? If anyone has any information or contact for the warranty co's, I would appreciate those.

This shouldn't take long to move to the point where we can inform Audi of our collective intent.

Thanks

Martin

Refunds for coilovers!

Just had a phone call from Audi CS.

They have said that there is a new reinforced shock from Audi (another one!!!) that has bee ordered for my car from Germany. Could this be the shocks with the extra part number that the US have????

i will keep you updated with part numbers when i recieve the documentation.

Hi all, just a quick msg to say sorry for my absence over the last two weeks, been away on hols but I am back now and will be back on the case with Audi CS on monday, still awaiting answers from questions I posted to them over 2 months ago!

The news of US customers being refunded for coilover fittings is just more ammunition to our fight in my eyes, if its good for the goose its good for the gander!

Ill keep you posted as i get any more news.

Is anyone able to provide a brief (i.e. less than 22 page) summary of what has gone on so far. I have an RS6 with DRC issues, but am also struggling to get through all the info here).

Thanks,

Mike
