That's cool - almost looks like my car is on DRC though, must have been braking, I dunno... Anyway.

This weekend it will get an interior/engine detail, I'm looking forward to trying some new products.

Aerospace 303 protectant
Raceglaze alcantara cleaner
Gliptone liquid leather air fresheners
JML bobble off (as the alcantara has started to bobble on some parts of the drivers seat.

I use this stuff now:

It's magic and I reckon it works better than rainX. The other day it was tipping it down and I didn't even need to put my wipers on.

Poorboys Natural Look is a quality product.

My other revelations of this year (in the car cleaning sense, as opposed to anything more Biblical!) have been:

Optimum No Rinse - awesome, awesome product. I use it after snowfoaming tho so it is never cleaning a very dirty car.

Supernatural Hybrid

Microfibre Madness' "Crazy Pile" - a fantastic super fluffy cloth

I will stop now before this becomes detailingworld...

Today I did my first ever mod to the plus, well its not actually a mod but you know what I mean.

Fairly simple, pull out the old grill, apply some dodo juice rainforest rub wax onto the Audi rings of the brand new grill to protect them.

Old vs New

Image

Whilst I had the grill off, I cleaned in between the nooks and crannies you don't usually see and finished with some more dodo juice.

Then I fitted the new grill.

After

It was only a very small series of scratches as you can see, but I want this car completely mint. Just need to see if the scratches on the bumper will polish out now.

You'll love the Aerospace 303 protectant, spray it on and walk away, you will be tempted to wipe it but don't
Fast glass is good stuff to but i cant get on with rain x for some reason.

Looking forward to trying it. I also spent some time today 'de bobbling' the alcantara seats. For a car with only 36,000 miles they really are showing lots of wear.

Just need to do all the alcantara in raceglaze alcantara cleaner now, it's already lifted out some marks in the alcantara.

Just noticed from the pics you have the multi functional steering wheel with buttons for gears and stereo as opposed to paddles. Think it was a paid up option too.

Sure was Dave. The optional extras it has over standard plus models are:

-[2FL] Steering Wheel multifunction, multi/tiptronic
-[3B4] ISOFIX child seat preparation
-[3FE] Electric Slide & Tilt Glass Sunroof
-[3Y3] Rear window blind, manual with man.side blinds
-[4X4] SIDEGUARD with Rear Side Airbags
-[6SJ] Rubber/Fabric Turnover Mat
-[6XE] Electric heated, folding door mirrors
-[9ZF] GSM mobile phone prep - hands free (Bluetooth)
-[S3G] Code for special equipment (this sounds cool - wonder what it is)?
-[WQ1] Alcantara/Carbon fibre inlays

Did the Plus have a specific brouchure, as I've got myself the standard RS 6 price list from 2004 but would like a Plus one or any other Plus memorabilia that would have been available at the time.

I have the same steering wheel, you'll be pleasantly surprised in the winter as it's heated :biggrin3: Do you have twinpane glass?

That's awesome, does it just work when you turn the heated seats on?

I don't have twin pane sadly, have had it in my last two cars though..!

You bought a whole new grille just for the Audi rings?
