Good point re exsposure to road debris. The A2 vent is just extra cooling.

Im keen on doing this sportec mod. But the wire mesh will be really really fine.

Bam, have you done it yet?

Also no one has commented on whether audi intended for oil temp to be what it is, and whether reducing that has negative effect?

Not done it yet. I think Steve had it done. I really can't see the oil temp being reduced enough for it to be negative it'd probably be a good problem to have!

Looking at my bonnet the other day and thinking stamped vents would look good and above pictures confirm.

Although stamped is a bit to race car for 6, so think it needs a moulded vent like the picture of the rs4

Rs4 ones are Astra gte ones it looks like.

Also on eBay search for carbon evo NACA duct, recon there the best style for the 6 bonnet and still very discreet. But would still prefer a proper bolted in item rather than something bonded or skim filtered in.

Sorry, but that RS4 looks gash with that bonnet vent. The stamped ones are much better but you will have water running into your engine bay in either case. Just get Wagners :)

Sorry but just not my bag, but guess its form vs function.
Bit like having a supermodel for a girlfriend then poking her eye out - still looks good from most angles but from the front its not quite right....
