I'll tell you something tho.... you will wish you had never sold it. Especially after living with the M5 for a while. I nearly bought one 2 years into ownership of the 6 and had it for a weekend test drive and put nearly 700 miles on it. Very disapointed.........
i was out in the m3 today ........ topless god i miss my rs6 only conciliation is that's she is with martin ;)
Topless  omg how many people crashed around you

for many people the 100k barrier DOES matter ... its reality ... and I think one of the key reasons is perhaps not so much questioning reliability of the car, its more when they think about when they need to sell it on, it will have 120k, 130k etc ... now thats an even harder car to shift and will require a bigger discount ... so its all got to be taken into account by a prospective buyer ... hence the barrier
sadly you are spot on with what you say there david when it comes to me. I really, REALLY want eddie's car cause it is perfect spec for me, but i just see that 100k coming soon and it makes me panic (no cold sweats though thankfully). I know these cars will go on for 100k's with hardly any problems but when it come's to be sold who else will think like that?

Who ever gets eddie's will be a seriously happy chap and also a bas*ard!!!

Ok, fairysnuff... re sale value etc for over the 100k mile mark may be a worry..... but, say its 10 years old & 130k when it gets sold at that... still only works out at 13k per year... not much is it.....

Eddie, you've gotta bring that M5 to a meet sometime soon. I'm sure there'd be enough V10 interest for us to stop casting filthy looks at the Beemer driver you've become.

No, the VXR8 just wasnt practical for me. And i couldnt get my head around the 'badge' issue. Nothing against them though. Tis a very nice machine but not for me.

Holden do a sportwagon in Oz, it got Australian car of the year in '09. Decent car with the 6.0L V8 360HP and 390lbs, brembo brakes and available in 6sp auto or 6sp man.... and cheap as chips. A shame it's not released over here, get one in a dark colour, bin the wheels for something upmarket, debadge and dechrome, then kick its head in. It'd be a great work or dog wagon, really tough.
