Eh? Was that a TDi?

I drove from Dumfries to Normandy, tootled around for two weeks and drove back, 1700 miles and £750 on fuel...

And I drove carefully!

Disclaimer: I was HEAVILY loaded, and had two bikes on the roof... Still surprised to have used enough fuel for a further 800 miles!

Yeah I was surprised too, I was expecting a cool grand at that mileage. NOTE: only used 98 RON and 90% of my drives were motorway runs at around 4-4250rpm for hours solid, just about zero tootling. Now you've confirmed my concerns Drybeer, I'll go through my statements on-line tomorrow. I think it just may be that £729 were all the receipts I could find, so far. Also, the girlfriend agreed to go Dutch on the fuel, so maybe I sub-consciously lost a few fill-ups to stop her eyes bulging out (in a bad way). We also clocked up about €140 on toll roads. ... still, do it again in a heartbeat.

If you guys are considering zee German zoorst run, it'll be too hard for me to resist. Addicted now.

So is it a cat back for your €2800 ... Or a full system ....

The sound is quite raw , I wonder if the valves make it straight through so no baffles ..

At £900 inc vat a milltek non res looks good value .....

Nice work The6 or Mr. Berry :sekret:

I'm not being cheap but surely this can be done in old Blighty for similar money, ne? As I've already reported, Blueflame would charge £4500 for this system to be made from the manifolds back (it wouldn't have the TUV stamped quality :? ). I am currently planning some things that will include a new zoorst, although I'm only interested in performance but I'd love to be able to turn it up!! Surely there are enough of us on here to make a custom zoorst manufacturer sit up and take note and service us with some discount passed on. I really like the 'sound' of the HMS catback flap thingumy but if the HMS won't mate up to 3" CATless down pipes then I'm out.

Gotta admit it though, how well designed is this thing:

Ok XS-POWER, I'll bite.
How many of us would you need and what kind of system are you proposing?

Question: Is it possible/feasible to create a zoorst for the '6 that would have 3" CATless downs and a CAT'd back-box with a cabin operated actuator/flap/solenoid to bypass the rear box/CATs (essentially making it a straight through system)?

its possible to copy one, even jig a standard one and get modified to our specs i would need to get around 30 produced to make it worthwhile, any spec is possible, i can get these done easy only reason i didnt thus far was i didnt think there would be a bigenough demand,

we have just produced a fantastic system for the 2010 Camero and the quality is second to none, so quality is not an issue.

does anyone have a nice picture of a full exhaust system laid out on the floor?
