what would be great and a sight to see would be mooch pulls up to some traffic lights on a 40mph dual carriageway....up next to him pulls over some coppers...

Light go green an mooch zooms off up to 40mph in less than 2secs then does no more...

The look on their faces!

Im sure they'd pull you over but theres no law against accelleration?!

Almost exactly that happened to me over Christmas break. Pulled sharply away from lights and was approaching limit when I checked mirror prior to changing lanes - "Oooops, thats a copper" thinks I, smartly lifting off at exactly 70!

I could almost hear him cursing his luck as he cruised back up behind me at the next roundabout!

Careless / Dangerous driving... covers anything they want. Don't play that game with them is my advice :)

yeah if they want to be c8nts they can be...but there are certainly some 40mph traffic lights I know of whether they would have to argue pretty hard it would be dangerous...

but anyhow, would be funny none the less

once in my TTqS I did this pulling onto an A road, put my foot down to get up to speed with rest of traffic but as it was so fast prob went up to about 70 in a 50, only literally for a few seconds, checked in my rear view and there was a police van!

they stuck their flashing lights on and chased me down, they stuck behind me for another 5 mins as I sat at 50 but never pulled me over
