fair play, you kept the shafting to the minimum just to get the car legal and on the road
you've learnt the lesson that I hope many more unsuspecting Audi drivers around the country learn
if there's one thing you can do, please spread the msg to other Audi drivers, that Audi main dealers are a bunch of w*nk@rs and are only good for ONE thing....Audi Warranty Repair

I hear you fella.
Like you I'm no spanner either, but... I research everything to death and am frequently called a nerd and geek by Mrs Stumpy67, as a result of the time I've spent on these 'ere forums! Probably not the only one either ?!
In future for tyres, try http://www.blackcircles.com/ for a good price. They'll also put you on to a local garage to where you're based and get them to fit the required tyre(s) too. Simple. Also, try http://tyremen.myshopify.com/products/c ... sessanta-3 - they seem to have good prices too. Buy them, get them posted to you. Take them to Kwik fit and for a tenner (maybe a score) they'll fit em for ya.
And as has been stated get yourself to an Independent Specialist for advice and servicing. I went to MRC in Banbury (nr Oxford), and Doug and his team are brilliant. I know Grizz at Unit 20 too is infamous in the RS6 world... Best advice, and best prices too.
As davidk has also said, get yourself a warranty, for peace of mind. I love the '6 but would scare me sh1tl3ss if I faced a £7500 bill!
Good luck, and hope you haven't lost your RS mojo ?!

make me drive 400 miles, then made to wait in the Wirral weather with a bloke next door that does MOT's until you decide to turn up, feed me coffee, dolly partons baps, and make my car go round corners at 200 mph. Charge me half of what any one else would....Tscch...!! I dunno, cant get the service these days.
If I were you mate I'd go to Audi..............
