Goodwood Green would seem to be the least common colour.

Full leather is standard - the alcantara/half leather was a £1450 option.

Since having cars with aircon, I've never found the sunroof to be useful. In 3.5 years, I only ever had the roof open twice on my old A4 - since then I've not bothered to order a sunroof.

Memory is not available with the Recaro seats. US cars got the memory, but ordinary sports seats.

I can vouch for the Solar roof option, having had one in the S8 and now the RS6, I would be very dissapointed if my next car didnt have a solar roof.

It keeps the car cool on hot days, so when you get back to the car your not burning your back and legs on the leather or boiling hot until the AC kicks in.

I don't open the roof at all, why would you with AC.

Colours .... well, I like Black most but cleaning it to keep it gleaming will probably give me a headache. So has to be Daytonna, followed by Silver, Red, Blue, and lastly Green. Actually, the Goodwood Green car I have seem is the best in terms of spec. It has EVERY option checked. But its Green. It feels too understated in Green personally, and I just dont think it will ever grow on me and I am worried about re-sale... anyone here own a Goodwood Green and like to comment????

Spec, well, it must have full leather and ideally a sunroof (solar would be nice). Although is the solar powered roof more of a gimmick ? From what I understand it keeps the car cool for about 20 minutes after the engine is turned off (does it keep it warm too ???) Other options like elcectric steering column, rear blinds, rear airbags, telephone prep, folding mirrors, cross drill brakes etc. would be nice but not essential.

Can someone also tell me whether RS6s are available with "memory" electric seats? I have seen a few ads claiming memory, but cant seem to see that option in the brochure.

My RS4 was/is Goodwood, and I liked it a lot, but the 6 is less aggressive looking so I take your point about making it too understated. I think it strikes the right balance with the RS4 though.

Keep the positive comments coming chaps, because I've just bought a 6+.... :boots:

Nope, simply had to be black... 9,000 miler at Listers. All subject to an inspection, haven't seen it yet, but deposit down.... The wife won't be pleased but I'll just lie and say it's a diesel. She'll never know.

Check out the brakes. 9k miles is ok for discs, but I'd negotiate a set of brake pads as a minimum.

Tyres are likely to be originals so depending on driving style they may be getting low.

Thanks, will do. I've negotiated pretty hard already from when I first spoke to them, you always know when you've squeezed them to the limit when they sound depressed on the phone. However if it isn't pretty perfect I'll walk.

Nice one Bob. I have seen that car and its lovely. Interior leather colour was not what I was expecting but I quite like it (The Mrs didn't but that's women for you) Overall, looked like a smasher to me. You'll just have to keep it clean!! But then moving from Goodwood Green to black you'd know all about that :D Who did you deal with by the way?

Ah I know the one, dark brown leather interior. Seen a similar colour on Porsches.

I liked it but SWMBO rejected it!

It's not the Solar Sunroof that steams the car up in the winter, it's more to do with heat dispensation on damp winter days (more towards damp than just cold).

The heat build up under the bonnet is extreme to say the least & when stopped & switched off (not moving), all this heat heads for the cabin, now as you've been sitting comfortably in your air conditioned environment during your drive, this is what causes the interior condensation.

It's a trait with most air conditioned cars, but only in much smaller doses, the engine heat from the RS6 is a little higher than most cars. Perhaps they could have designed a better heat dispensation system, but it's Audi after all.

Thanks guys, actually I was going to ask if anyone had seen it, I've just gone by the crappy little pictures, and it looked like it needed a bloody good clean. I was even going to see if anyone local fancied popping in, but if you've seen it in the flesh, Deane, and it looks clean, that'll do me. I know there was a knick on one of the alloys which they will obviously sort, but I thought they were nigh on impossible to put right? So I'd better keep an eye on it. I've put some extra warranty on top of what's remaining, to take me to Sept 2009, £890 quid which seemed worthwhile for two more years...

Can you tell me more about the warranty, was it by doing a deal with Audi or did you get it from a third party, and if so, what does it cover and what are the limitations?
Thanks!
