Personally I'd take it back to them and let them have the headache. Fresh paint and badges is a no no if you need to readjust them . You'll find the adhesive marks the lacquer and it'll need machine polishing out . With regards to resticking the rings , honestly I wouldn't bother . Just replace them .I've never seen a badge that I was happy with after its been re taped . It always looks tatty around the edges .

You can also use a hairdryer to loosen them before the dental floss.

I'd definitely be getting the body Shop to sort it. Who needs the grief of fresh paint coming off with the badge?
