For my rental Seat Ateca. Full tank of premium fuel just before handing it back.

But I’d done 2 stations in Budapest and I didn’t want to try to find a third one that had 95.

The 95, if there had been any, would have been 1.07

You kinda wonder how they can sell it for that price given what we’re paying.

I think it’s called UK fuel TAX.
We just get ripped off on everything as far as tax is concerned.
About time the government stepped up and intervened.
Don’t get me started on the condition of our roads.

Fuel duty is about 50 odd p a litre. Then VAT is on top. That's the unfair part. The VAT should be on the actual fuel not the fuel + duty. So the 5p off is more than offset by the rise in base fuel cost.

It's a volatile market at the moment. Also because Asda doesn't seem to be the market setter in cheap fuel it's gone up a few more p a litre. Plus all those that can't use E10 are all using VPower etc so that's gone up more. Diesel car market share is through the floor for new cars so more petrol is needed so again that's pushing up the price.

Road pricing will suddenly be the cure for crap roads. Except it won't as the profits will end up in the hands of some rich Tory donor not going on road repair.
