I used the special ones in the s4 and they failed a couple of times, I am now using tower leds and these have been ok.

I am coming to the conclusion that all the ultraleds LEDs are crap.

Agree to disagree. I have bought a stupid, stupid amount of LEDs from them now (have LED'd 4 cars with bulbs from them) and haven't had a single bulb fail. Have done a fair bit of night time driving with the side light jobs in and they haven't gone pop yet either but I am sure I have just cursed that....

Okay, I'll say it. I'm rocking my yellow sidelights happily, the blue ones look really chavvy, when Audi use LED sidelights in the the D3, for example, the light is focused and they look good, in the C5 the blue light just scatters everywhere and looks crap, like something you see on a modified Saxo. I don't like the LED rear lights either as they are too fussy, although Footlong's LEDs look alright, standard will do me fine.

They look alright actually, I saw some earlier on in the thread that were very blue, I was also followed by a misano avant with blue LED sidelights and they looked terrible, white is good.

They all turned up broken. Ultraleds were worse than useless when I complained (do not use them, they are crap) so I glued them back together and put them in the Golf where they have been ever since. I don't even know if they are working because 1) I almost never drive at night 2) I almost never drive my Golf and 3) I put them in the number plate light which I almost never look at.

Sorry for not being more helpful. Actually, I think I've got a couple of spare ones. I'll post 'em to you if you like and you can try them out.

That's been pretty helpful IMO. I'll leave the standard type in.

Never had a problem with UltraLEDs that I can remember and my orders with them are almost in double figures now. I have also not had any fail yet that are fitted to our cars. Feel free to tell me that my memory has failed me but not to my knowledge.

Other than the ceramic ones, which arrived broken, all the ones I bought failed shortly after installing. I'm talking about the ones in the headlights. I don't think they like the heat. I'm sure your interior ones will be fine.

And, as I mentioned and will keep mentioning until they fold, ultraled customer service is absolutely appalling.
